Zion National Park
"The brightest star next to the seat of God" aptly designates this park, one of the grandfathers of the national park system. Zion Canyon, up to 2,400 feet deep in places, cuts its way through the multi-color sheered cliffs and monolithic sandstone formations that define the region. Zion's beauty is accessible the entire year with easy interstate access from Salt Lake City, Las Vegas, and the surrounding areas. A hiker's and photographer's paradise, Zion National Park is the cornerstone of the Zion - Bryce Canyon - Grand Canyon triangle.

Should you wish to contact Zion National Park, here are a couple of phone numbers:

Zion National Park Rangers - (435) 772-3256
Zion Natural History Association - (435) 772-3264

Zion Canyon Giant Screen
View the film Zion Canyon: Treasure of the Gods. The theatre's giant screen is the largest theater in Utah and one of the largest in the world measuring 60 feet high and 82 feet across. Sound is delivered through an eight track digital Surround Sound system capable of 22,000 watts. Current run Hollywood favorites play the last show of the night.

Cedar Breaks & Bryce Canyon
Sisters in geology, colors and appearance... the "Breaks" and Bryce Canyon are within an easy drive of Zion National Park. Both the Cedar Breaks and Bryce Canyon regions offer fantastic overlooks and hiking and horseback riding in season. The two parks are famous for the pastel-colored ridges and pinnacles that extend like ruined castles out from steep cliffs. Clouds often drift in and about the rock towers giving one a sense of forgetfulness in the multi-hued amphitheaters. Summers are cool, while in winter the parks often have snow.

Grand Canyon North Rim
Only about a 2-hour drive away, the North Rim of the Grand Canyon offers more world-class views for all to enjoy. Be sure to take your camera. Due to its high elevation, the Grand Canyon North Rim is only accessible after the winter snows have melted around May, and it closes again after the snow flies in the late fall.

Lake Powell
With over 1,800 miles of coastline, and 186 miles long, Lake Powell is a sightseer's paradise. Whether by boat, on foot, or by vehicle the park offers access to remote, primordial areas of the Southwest most people cannot even imagine exist. Vistas are stunning, with Lake Powell's blue-green color starkly contrasting the red-orange hues of the surrounding Canyonlands.

Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument
The country's newest national park area, the Grand Staircase Escalante, is a striking region punctuated by massive stone arches, fabulous canyons, and plateaus that offer the best in Southwest scenery. This park area also features Anasazi ruins and Indian rock art that offer an archeological perspective uncommon to most nature areas. The maze of canyons and rock cliffs in Escalante National Monument offer exceptional hiking opportunities.

Capitol Reef National Park
Multi-colored cliffs, massive domes, and twisting canyons inspired the Native Americans to name this area of Capitol Reef the "Land of the Sleeping Rainbow."

Sky Mountain Golf Course
Just a half hour away and boasting some of the most beautiful scenery and golfing in the state, Sky Mountain Golf Course offers 18 holes with jagged red cliffs on the horizon.

St. George, Utah
Centrally located in some of nature's finest scenery, St. George has become a winter resort for snowbirds and retirees, as well as a key gateway to the greatest concentration of national parks and natural wonders on earth.

Cedar City, Utah
The diversity of Cedar City's natural attractions are matched by its cultural offerings. The Tony Award winning Utah Shakespearean Festival has made its home in Cedar City for the past 40 years.

Las Vegas, Nevada
City of lights, shows, and gambling. Only 3 hours away.
